USA Today has a story titled “New Daditude” and features three guys with a hilarious website, DadLabs. Click on over there for videos and stories and be sure to look at the items in the background of their garage studio. The guys give a warm and fun look to modern fathering and show how involved today’s dads are. How lucky are we mamas?

A search for information on how Latino papis are behaving turned up this post on Hispanic MPR by a researcher studying Hispanic fathers. He touches on machismo, caballerismo, familismo and offers some insight.

“Given that the Hispanic population in this country is expected to continue to grow rapidly this lack of research is quite surprising, especially considering that existing studies suggest that Hispanic fathers do in fact view fatherhood differently. For example, one study found that Hispanic men are less likely to be anti-feminine that their Caucasian and African American counterparts.”

The writer, Jon Glass, also is conducing a survey of Hispanic dads and their kids. Too late to enter the raffle, but help the guy out if you can.

carlos ponceAnd for fun and eye candy, MiApogeo.com lists the 10 sexiest celebrity Latino dads. Included Alejandro Gomez Monteverde, Juanes and the No. 1: Mark Consuelos. Your el diario editor’s personal favorite, Carlos Ponce, is pictured.
