Buzzing: Organizing, Manifesting and Music
Happy Mucho Frio Friday, folks!
We have goodness to share with you. Aqui vamos.
“Reflect on this year and manifest what is next.”
That’s the tag line over at Reverb10, a popular online initiative that gives you a prompt a day to reflect, write, think and yes, to manifest. As of today, 2,891 people have signed up, including Elizabeth from Mujer Zen, who told us about it.
If your are in need of some inner-exploration and outward steps toward good goals, Reverb10, may just be your space.
Speaking of manifesting, if you are in deep desire of less clutter, check out Tanna Clark of Complete Organizing Solutions (and a fellow Nashvegas resident). She has smart, simple tips for getting it together and I particularly love this post about taking pictures of treasures before sticking them in the donate pile. I personally have an attic full of things — dresses from 1985, old letters and way too many college notebooks. It’s all headed for the burn and donate pile next month. I will take pictures of the flames!
And if you really are on a path to reduce, read Becoming Minimalist. Super.
Julio Varela, a Boston-based editorial director, has turned his blog into a book...a new book he’s writing online. The title is The Two Worlds of Franky Benitez and Julio explains the why and how in this post. Go cheer him on.
Over at Spanglish Baby, you can find information on making your kid a video star. The indie kid band, Moona Luna, wants your nene to be in its first music video, for the song Todas Las Comidas/All The Foods. You can download the song from the band’s Facebook page here and get details from Spanglish Baby.
Ay Dios Mio! Recipe of the week is Bobby Flay’s Mexican Chocolate Thumbprint Cookies with Dulce de Leche!
Chisme of the week is about Salma Hayek and her once-illegal status. Que escandalo!
Send us your Christmas cards. We’re looking for your beautiful family shots, or vintage Merry Christmas past. You know, you on Santa’s lap, or opening presents. Send to info at tiki tiki blog.com and we’ll post them soon. OK. Por fa!
And, the laugh of the day comes via Marta, who obviously doesn’t have enough to do, but lucky us about that.
Enjoy a little pre-holiday spirit!
